About the Program:

At Studio 23, we believe that everyone’s voice should be heard and that everyone has the ability to create, express themselves, and grow through art making and social connections with other students.  We are so very excited to introduce our Neurodevelopmental Art Program for students with moderate to severe intellectual/physical disabilities. This program was created to use art and art making as a vehicle to practice fine motor, social skills, and communication in an exciting way.

Before a student joins our program, we will meet with the family to discuss their student's individual needs and goals. Whether the family would like for their child to focus on emotional/behavioral development, social skills, or fine motor, we will do our very best to reach these goals and provide a loving and nurturing experience for each student.

Program is year-round. Enroll at anytime!

Meet the Instructors:

Stephanie Burke

Hello! I am so excited to start this journey at Studio 23 where we can individualize art classes to meet the needs and goals of each student. I am currently a Special Education Teacher at Teasley Elementary in a K-2nd classroom for students with autism. My heart and passion have always been in Special Education from a young age. I have experience teaching a variety of classrooms in NC and GA. I have also lead summer camp programs with the Autism Society of NC. My goal with our unique art program is to integrate social skills, communication, fine motor, and sensory into each project. By targeting each student’s individual needs and goals, we can adapt and teach new skills in a fun, innovative way!

Amberly Hood

Hello! My name is Amberly and I am the owner of Studio 23 Atlanta. I am so excited to offer this art program specifically designed for families with children with special needs. I began working with kiddos with special needs as a Neurodevelopmental Teacher at Jacob’s Ladder and I immediately fell in love with my students. Since then, I have been teaching and creating art with these amazing children and have been wanting to create a unique program for them. I am so happy and honored to be working with Stephanie to create this art program!
